UV Flatbed Printing

UV Flatbed Printing
UV Curable Flatbed Printing.
UV (Ultraviolet Light) Curable Flatbed Printers are specialized ink jet printers designed to print full colour images onto a wide variety of large flat materials. As the uniquely formulated UV curable inks are being printed to the material, specialized ultraviolet lights ‘cure’ the inks, causing them to instantly harden and stick to the surface to which they are being printed.
Almost anything that is reasonably flat, up to 2500 x 1250mm in size can be printed either single or double-sided on our Flatbed printer. There are many types of printing substrates available that are designed specifically for UV flatbed printing.
Kerr Signs can print directly onto materials such as glass, fabric, pvc, correx, foamex, Perspex, wood, aluminium and aluminium composite.
We supply UV printed signs for all sectors including exhibit graphics, purchase displays, banners, flags, retail, décor, interior design, backlit graphics, consumer products, posters, flooring, wallpaper and much more.
Typical UV cured prints have an outdoor durability of up to 5 years or more without fading when laminated. However, the specific environment and application in which the print is used will ultimately determine whether the print will last for more or less than 5 years. For indoor use, the prints will last for many years.

What is UV Flatbed Printing
UV flatbed printing is a type of digital printing that uses ultraviolet (UV) light to dry or cure ink as it is printed onto a flat surface. The process involves using a flatbed printer that has UV-sensitive ink cartridges and a UV light source built into the printer.
The printer uses the UV light to cure the ink as it is printed onto a wide range of flat materials such as wood, metal, glass, plastic, and more. The ink is applied in layers, allowing for a high level of detail and color accuracy.
One of the advantages of UV flatbed printing is that it can print on a wide range of materials, including rigid substrates that are difficult to print on using other methods. It is also capable of printing high-quality images with vibrant colors and crisp details.
UV flatbed printing is commonly used in the production of signage, retail displays, packaging, and other marketing materials. It has become a popular choice in the printing industry due to its versatility and the high quality of output it can produce.
